i think one of the reason WEEZY F BABY is still fire to me is that he always sounds hungry. dude spits on the takeovers like its his first chance at rapping
only prob i have with wayne is how he will spit completely off topic within a song for a couple of bars.. i mean he'll say some nice shit no doubt, but that shit just completely out left field like he got tourettes or something.
yeah i think it was Gotty (www.smokingsection.net) who said that he comes up with a bunch of hot lines and throws them together in a song.
but i don't think that people check for his stories. his appeal is that he keeps coming at the listener, and is so passionate about what he's saying that we don't really care about what he's saying.
example - on TI's Stand Up, his last line "pussy nigga stand up or lay down" - that line when read is average at best. yet when WEEZY F BABY gets in the booth and spits it, he's so raw and impassioned about it that we're forced to stand up.
second verse on "shooter" is a prime example of that. in it's own right, that's one sick sick verse, but in the context of the song i'm just scratching my head.
